How to get to Opatija?
By car
Opatija is easily accessible by highways from Croatia and neighboring countries. Parking is available at several public parking lots in the city center.
By bus
Regular bus lines connect Opatija with Rijeka, Zagreb, Ljubljana and other major cities. We recommend Arriva Hrvatska for arrival.
By train
The nearest major railway station is in Rijeka (12 km from Opatija), from where you can take a bus (32) or a taxi.

When and where is Expo Gameri 2025 taking place?
Expo Gameri 2025 is taking place in the city of Opatija, on the northern Adriatic coast, near Rijeka. Located in the Marino Cvetković Sports Hall, the Expo will take place on Friday, May 30th and Saturday, May 31st.
Where and how can I buy tickets?
TERMS OF SALETickets are available at promotional prices in advance exclusively through our website, and it will also be possible to purchase them on site (and pay in cash or by card). The number of tickets is not limited! Tickets are not tied to a name and surname, so you can give them as gifts. We do not refund tickets - so before purchasing, we suggest that you research the terms of sale and inform yourself!
Can I play games at Expo Gamera?
Of course! At the event you will be able to try out new and existing games, participate in gaming activations, giveaways, games, raffles and quizzes.
Is there an age limit?
Everyone is welcome! Expo Gameri is open to all generations – from the young to the old. Some sections and competitions may have age restrictions (e.g. 18 games and VR experiences). Minors under 14 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Under no circumstances should you leave children unattended or abandon them while you are in the Expo area.
Can my dog come with me?
Pets or any animals are not allowed inside the sports hall, except for official guide dogs.
Is the location accessible for people with disabilities?
Yes! The fairgrounds are wheelchair accessible, and the organizers have ensured that all content is in the main and small halls, so everything can be accessed with ease. Feel free to access the public garage in the basement of the hall and take the elevator to the first floor/reception - from where you will continue to the fair.
Where can I swim in Opatija and the surrounding area?
Opatija beachesOpatija has beautiful beaches! Opatija became popular in the 19th century when it became a resort for the international elite and nobles of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Right opposite the Expo Gameri hall and location is one of the beautiful city beaches, Lipovica - so bring your swimsuit with you!
